Alisa and Alan Fasnacht are both multi-generational farmers and tradition plays an important role in their lives. They live on the farm that Alisa’s Italian immigrant great grandparents, Guiseppe and Italina, bought in the 1950’s. The farm name, Emerald Valley, was inspired by the valleys and vistas of the rural foothills of Washington County, PA. “Emerald Valley Artisans is built on the traditions given to us by our respective families who still own and farm the land we both loved as kids” says Alisa. “Our foray into cheese making is the continuation of great traditions established by our families. It is our way to honor the people, the land, and most importantly the cows whose influence is unforgettable.”
Taking place in the Speakeasy located in the basement of the brewery.

There will be 5 plates served throughout the evening, each carefully paired with one of our MBC brews, one of which is a special small batch brewed just for the pairing!
(1) Alpha Blonde Ale paired with Washington Reserve Cheddar
(2) 80 Shilling Scotch Ale paired with Braddock’s Best Baby Swiss
(3) First Shift Coffee Porter paired with grilled Ricotta Chiesi
(4) Zack Morgan’s IPA paired with Blackjack Smoked Peppercorn Monterrey
(5) Winter White Out Wit (An unfiltered Belgian wheat beer brewed with coriander and orange peel) paired with
Mediterranean Style Cow’s Milk Feta
In additions to the beer and cheese, there will be a buffet style arrangement of other horderves that will consist of cured meats, pickled vegetables, fruits, crackers, crostinis, IPA beer pickles, hummus, lemon brined chicken skewers, tasty sauces, and other yummies to satisfy your taste buds.
