Greetings Emerald Valley Cheese Lovers,
Spring has arrived! There is no doubt the grass is greener on both sides of the fence according to the cows and they are pushing the limits every chance they get! Spring also marks the beginning of a new season at our shop. Bank 40 Mercantile is located at 2184 East National Pike Scenery Hill, PA 15360 in the historic First National Bank of Scenery Hill. This building is an extraordinary piece of history (you must visit the vault) and is a natural setting for a true Mercantile. Home to Emerald Valley Artisans vast array of cheeses it also offers the very best in "local" from other artists as well. Cheeses from Mackenzie Creamery and Hidden Hills Dairy are featured in the cheese case along side the Emerald Valley offerings. Homemade Federal Preserves made with fresh berries from Triple B Farms and honey from Washington County beekeeper Mark Bedillion line the cupboard shelves. More than a dozen different varieties of biscotti from my mother's kitchen fill the cookie jars. Wines from Christian Klay Winery are a house favorite and pairing with your favorite cheese is a must.
This year we proudly announce the opening of our ladies boutique. Boutique at the Bank is a fashion experience like no other. Featuring "Sweet Zoo at the Bank" our Boutique is brimming with the fashion forward styles of Tana Ford. Ladies, trust me when I tell you these clothes rock. Regardless of your age or size there is something to suit everybody. From vintage to futuristic this is an eclectic blend of what we girls love most. I simply cannot do it justice with words....you need to come and have the experience.
Also new this year, Bank 40 Mercantile welcomes local artist Kit Paulsen as she offers her delightful water color paintings. We are honored that Kit has graciously agreed to hang her incredible artwork in our shop. Her colorful interpretation of local life is a beautiful must have addition to your home.
The season opens April 14 & 15. We will be open Saturday's and Sunday's 11 am to 5 pm. Weekdays by appointment. Check the calendar for special events and happenings. Please feel free to contact us if you have questions. We hope to see you soon.
